Prithi Narasimhan, President and Founder

Prithi Narasimhan is a renowned Carnatic vocalist and a highly respected music instructor, voice trainer, and coach based in Dallas, Texas, USA. Known for her melodious, dynamic, and crisp singing style, she is a versatile artist with expertise across multiple genres. Prithi is a senior disciple of Kalaimamani Vidwan Sri. K.N. Shashikiran and Vidwan Chitravina Sri P. Ganesh, the esteemed Carnatica Brothers duo. In recognition of her dedication to Carnatic music, her vocal talent, and innovative teaching methodology, she was awarded the  Gana Kala Acharya title by Carnatica Archival Center during their silver jubilee celebrations. Her dual strengths in IT and music allow her to modernize traditional teaching, using technology to make the learning journey more impactful and student-friendly.She is a Computer Engineer by profession and a vocalist by passion. She secured an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering, and a Masters degree from New York University (NYU). Dr. Sreekumar Bhaskaran, Treasurer and Co-Founder

Sreekumar R. Bhaskaran is an associate professor of information technology and operations management (ITOM) at the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Cox School of Business.  He holds a PhD in supply chain and operations management from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.  He also has an MBA in operations and marketing from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and a BE in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

Sreekumar has been an avid listener and supporter of Indian classical music. His daughters actively learn Indian classical music from Mrs. Prithi Narasimhan.

Rama Rao Hothur is a Behavioral Analyst based out of Frisco, Texas and her medical specialization is Behavioral Analyst. She practices in Frisco, Texas. 


Student Volunteers

Shruthi Ganesh, Student Mentor, and Lead Trainer

Shruthi is currently a freshman in the Grainger School of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, pursuing Mechanical Engineering. She is a bright student and graduated high school as a National Merit Scholar Finalist and ranked in her graduating class with honors. She is a gifted student of Carnatic music and has been under the tutelage of Dr. K.N. Shashikiran, a world record holder and an award-winning musician and educator in the field, from the tender age of 4. She is also learning the Carnatic Violin from the award winning Indian Violinist, Vid. B.V. Raghavendra Rao. Shruthi performs solo Carnatic vocal concerts in many prominent venues in India and the US and won several prestigious international competitions and has over 100+ professional concerts to her credit. Shruthi is a certified Carnatic vocal teacher, and she teaches and mentors several students. She volunteers her time towards a non-profit educational project initiated by her mother, called "Vidhyaadhaanam", through which she shares free carnatic music lessons in an instructional video format to support the learning of aspiring students who do not have access to teachers or good resources. Shruthi participates in these activities and helps edit and produce the video lessons herself. Shruthi is also proficient in Western Classical vocal, Western Orchestral Violin, and Carnatic Violin, as well as Software (MIDI) instruments.  Shruthi also composes her own background scores for light-classical Carnatic compositions using a software (MIDI) keyboard from time to time. Sahana Kumar, Student Mentor and senior Trainer

Sahana Kumar is a young senior disciple of Mrs. Prithi Narasimhan and a junior at Coppell High School. She is a bright student aspiring to pursue neuroscience. Sahana is a gifted student of Carnatic vocal music and has been under the tutelage of Prithi from the tender age of 4. She has also had the opportunity to learn from eminent musician Dr. K.N. Shashikiran, through workshops in Dallas. Sahana has performed professional concerts in Dallas and has 10+ concerts to her credit. Sahana volunteers for INDUS Fine Arts and mentors several students with Prithi's guidance. She is passionate about teaching young children. Sahana also volunteers for Prithi's Vidhyaadhaanam project by participating in teaching sessions to simulate the student portion in the video lessons.  Sahana is also proficient in Western classical vocal and western violin
